New Zealand Charities Register (NZ-CR)

Description

New Zealand's charity regulator, Charities Services, assigns each registered charity a Charities Registration Number. This is often referred to as a 'CC' number because it typically begins with those letters.

Only registered charities receive a Charities Registration Number. Registration under the Charities Act 2005 is voluntary, although registration is generally required to access charitable tax exemptions and to describe the organisation as a registered charitable entity. [1]
