Department of the Registrar of Companies (Sri Lanka) (LK-DRC)
Description
Companies ins Sri Lanka are registered through the Department of the Registrar of Companies.
Under the Companies Act No 7. of 2007, DRC are responsible for:
* Incorporation of Private Limited Liability Companies
* Incorporation of Public Limited Liability Companies
* Registration of Foreign Companies
* Registration of Off-Shore Companies
* Incorporation of Unlimited Companies
* Incorporation of Public Quoted Companies
* Incorporation of Guarantee Companies
* Incorporation of Associations
* Registration of Auditors and Company Secretaries
Under the Societies Ordinance No 16. of 1891 they also have responsibility for registration of societies.
